More tire information

This may be old news to some, for which I apologize. Have obsessively been searching for Elan tire information for a few years, only to find many manufacturers discontinued sizes that fit. The following tires are "not for street use." I never have seen them mentioned in online discussions. Hoosier Tire: Vintage & Historic 45105 A70-13, 6.2" tread width, 5-7" rim width; Sports Car-Bias 45100 P185/60D-13, 6.2" tread width, 5-7" rim width, D.O.T. approved; perhaps of less interest, Sports Car-Radial D.O.T. 46300 P185/60ZR-13, 6.9" tread width, 6-7" rim.

Sumitomo makes a tires size in 185/60/13 and they are dirt cheap as well, also fairly good tires when pushed to the limits. there are also Toyo R888 and Toyo RA-1 in 185/60/13 which i have on my car, they are compound tires but legal for the street.

Last I heard the Toyo Comp compound 13" tires were discontinued, although it does look like Discount Tire to go lists the R88 available in 185/60R13 if you can get them to fit.

The Sumitomo might work for S4 cars with small rear springs, but depending on the car there is a good chance that it will scrape the fenders.

When I replace the street tires for my car I think I will try to find some 175/70R13s since I have an S4 with small rear springs and can therefore fit a tire that is less than 7.25" wide.

The comp tires I have are Yokohama A032R 175/60R13, which are now discontinued.

i just bought toyo ra-1's and i was suprised to find them because they were discontinued, but they do still make the 185/60/13 R888. my tires are also mounted on panasport 5.5inchrim, and the fenders arent exactly stock
