Select Tire has the KUMHO 758 in a number of Lotus Elan sizes on eBay for what seems like a good price ($130 for 4 155x13) with free shipping. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this tire that they might share.

I had some terrible experiences with Kuhmo tyres and after 60 miles went back to the tyre shop to have them exchanged as they were stiil brand new.
The garage refused to accept them back!
I had to exchange them for some more reputable tyres as Yokohamas, at a different garage.
A year has gone by and no one seems interested in buying my Kuhmo tyres from me, not even at half their market price!

I've had Kumho 758's on my Elan for about 4 months now, and I'm quite pleased with them. I had Pirelli's on before, but they got too old to be trustworthy. The Kumho tires for the Elan are only about $28 each new at the dealer, so 4 tires for more than $120 is no bargain. Otherwise, I think they're good tires. They are one of the few manufacturers that are making tires in sizes aimed specifically for classic sports cars.

we use kumho victoracers here as a spec tire for formula vees 185 --60 --14 on special wheels ---they work fine-- stick well and stay round ---turn in is good --get sticky if you push them --and last 3 years in a race situation--- ---we use 18 front and 20 rear hot tire pressure for an 800 pound car -we have used Yokohama's and they were as good -- on my ?lan I use hankook tires 205 --60--13 rear and 185--60-- 13 front ---ed law
