hello in the process of rebuilding a 1969 +2 s .
would like to now if anybody could advise on the best method in the reassembly of the inner and outer
bearing /diveshaft assembly and the fitting of the above to the bearing housing .
I have welded and will be machining the bearing housing diameters and circlip grooves , is the information avalible on what to make the housing diameters .
when i removed the bearings they seemed to be held in by some sort of loctite is this a normal procedure :?

Ian,

Welcome! :)

Since no one else has replied, I will point you in the right direction!

This subject has been discussed many times on this forum (especially recently, which is why you've not yet received any replies!) - if you do a search on "loctite rear hub" for example, you'll get some of the information you require about fitting rear hub bearings.

Not sure about the dimensions for machining the rear hub bearing bore & circlip groove though. Perhaps you could get this from a bearing & circlip catalogue or web site?

Hope this helps - good luck :!:
