Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

Hi
Can anyone tell me how to measure the width of a wheel ie 5.5"J
Am I right thinking that Lotus made 2 alloy wheel sizes for the +2, 5.5J and wider.
I have seen Elan Sprints fitted with knock on +2 wheels and would like them on my Sprint but will not cut the body so would like to be sure about the width.
