front shocks

On my Sprint I have oil leak on the Spax front shocks (adjustable in height and hardness) but Spax does not restore them
So what to do? find a repairer (who?) or just replace them but then by what manufacturer?
What would you advise me, what would be the right choice

I had been looking for Koni for the front of my +2, also the elan. I was unable to find them.
TTR has some rears, as do others.
Could someone point to where to acquire front Koni for both elan models please?
I suspect the top seals are replaceable but I dont know. There are some good rebuilders out there, but you get to be about the same money as new.

Hi Geni,
I have TTR front shocks, 11 years since fitting. They are Gaz brand.

I have used gaz on a formula Ford and they were just about ok but not good. Also on a plus 2 with springs supplied by gaz which were completely wrong. When I contacted gaz they said they don't supply springs so I gave them their order number to show they did. The rear strut top nut was also incorrect without the step to locate the strut inside the lotocone. They just stopped communicating and I had to put the old springs back and modify the nut. Will never use them again

Koni's turn up as either used or NOS on eBay and the forum from time to time. If you get them rebuilt, which can be expensive, they will probably outlast your ownership of the car that they are fitted to. Remember they are adjustable for wear not for stiffness.

Try calling Roger Thompson at Leda. If they are rebuildable, he's the man to help. If not, he at least may point you to an alternative source

I suspect Koni may be willing to manufacture a limited run. Ied be in for at least 2 sets, likely 3.
