I've made a video (as requested) to show how I jack up and support my Elan. May be of general interest:

Another great video Paul. Thanks! One dimension I didnt' see was where the slot is in relation
to the edges of the board. Can you provide that?

Thanks for this Paul, very informative.

I perform similar manoeuvres- they are just a pain to get in the air in a quick and simple fashion.

For a reinforced 26R stye frame I made a pi shaped piece of wood to fit around the exhaust pipe between the rear rose joints. It's a similar idea to Paul's but a 2" pipe and the triangular reinforcing on the bottom of the chassis makes it a challenge. Sloping the legs of the pi with 45 deg bevels makes it possible to get around the pipe and rest on the reinforcing nicely.

Paul's idea for the individual rear corners works a piece.

I've put the dimensions of the wooden jacking support block in the attached file.

I just put a Plank under the Sill between front and back wheel and jack it up.
Many times you are only working on one side at a time.
If you need to lift both sides at the same time it's different.

Thanks for that Paul, should the 2nd dimension on the left be 125mm?
