outer tie rod end boots. torn again

really cant pin point where they are getting snagged on, somewhere smooth on the knuckle
spitfire
non grease able, and I suspect this is the reason as the outer edge is torn. maybe if it was filled, or had grease in it...
looking at energy suspension poly as a recourse, also a hole and a wee nipple. then i suppose we will see if grease will pass through to boot.
any guesses/knowledge please

I recently purchased new tie rod ends from whomever makes the replacements and noticed a closer fit to the disks: the castings measured about 0.1 inch diameter larger which may not sound like much but they just clear the new disks, the rubber is very close. I haven?t driven many miles yet with them.

cheers, the boot does touch the dust shield
but its torn all the way around, indicating something other
maybe the energy suspension is less obese?

as the boots are cracked all around. either poor material...or the design is meant to fit from under the Triumph knuckle and being overtop hinders the inferior or old rubber somehow
