Stomberg Carburators

is anyone familiar with a switch or small arm lever at the bottom side of a stromberg carburator.? in reading thru the lotus elan service manual i noticed this note about switching this relative to seasons. is anyone doing this? i have a 72 elan sprint with dual strombergs.

The little sumer/winter lever just limits how far the choke can be pulled out - More in the winter than the summer. As I only drive my S4 dhc in the summer I have never tried it in the winter position.
