Hi there.

I'm just installing the air box to my Dellorto carbs (elan +2). Just wondering if anyone can tell me, should there be a gasket between the airbox and the carbs? There wasn't when I removed them.

Arrows in the picture. Thanks for your help.

Pretty thick gasket paper....

I have to admit I have not used them in the past, but probably will this time as I am in the middle of a cylinder head change.

Thanks a lot. I thought it was odd that there wasnt one fitted. What's the consensus on sealing the two halves of the airbox? I read somewhere that a Toyota head gasket could be used?

Err, not a head gasket, maybe a rocker cover gasket ? Presumably you're talking about the airbox to backplate rubber seal ?
Surely someone in the Lotus supplier community in the UK does the correct seal ?
