Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

Hello all.....
does anyone have a K&N cone shape air filter fitted in their engine bay?? If so could you say where you have positioned itand photos please would help greatly.
Should mention....it's for a Plus 2.

I can't show mine at present but it's essentially as per this one but suspended from the underside of the nose by an aluminium bracket similar to the one Kelsport do.
Essentially they are either here, or the intake pipe bends through 90 degrees and the filter is put right in front of the air scoop, sideways on.
I decided on the former position and up high as it gets the cold air before going through the rad but isn't completely open to water ingress.

I do not think that this position is good for driving in a country with lots of rain.
Lucky him as he is not.
