Carb needle (fuel overflow) interchangable w/ other ZS carbs

Hi - about to dive into to rebuild the 1969 Elan's Strombergs and I have boatloads (OK, maybe canoe loads) of spare Stromberg parts from the TR4s and TR6s I have owed.

Does anyone know if the float needle are all the same on these so I can use some of the new and unopened rebuild kits I have on hand?

Thanks!

Did some quick checking on Moss Motors and it looks like the needles were the same across a wide range of years and cars, ditto for floats and most of the gaskets...

My recollection is that those valves are interchangeable, but I'll see if I can find my Burlens reference book. If you haven't found their website it is invaluable.

Most of what I learned through my rebuild process is in the following thread. Lots of good advice from others here plus references to other resources. Probably in that thread but you might google buckeye triumphs, they have a great technical series on rebuilding these.

Thank you very much for making the effort to check for me.

You gentlemen are fantastic!

As an added reassurance I don't think it's possible to fit the wrong float valve, they are physically different and also marked with the carb size.
