I'm trying to identify the adaptor on my Federal '68 S4 which eliminate the secondary throttle system. it doesn't look like the Euro adaptors I've seen, so not sure if it's an aftermarket piece or if someone spent a lot of time machining a custom part. Any ideas?

I don't recall anyone ever producing aftermarket adapters with the balance tube. This looks home made and someone put a lot of effort in.

Joji Tokumoto produced some. They can be ordered on an as needed basis. Here is a link to the ad:

Thanks, they certainly look like mine. Next, I need to figure out if they re-jetted (re-needled?) the carbs and if the distributor still has the stock curve. I am missing a few records from the big dollar refresh performed at the start of the year, but they do show the Strombergs were rebuilt, a Pertronix was added, and the exhaust manifold was replaced with a header from RD Enterprises. It also had an engine rebuild sometime in the past and was re-bored .020" over, but no idea if the head was shaved resulting in a compression increase.

Thanks,
John
