Hi

When my gasoline pump stalled on my plus 2, i installed a Fazet gasoline pump. It's working fine, when the car is up and running, no starvation problems!. But i have trouble with flooding In the start up. I am suspecting the pump of deliviring to High gasoline pressure, and suspecting the needles in the webers to be to week or old to handle/ shut down gasoline.
I Think i have to put In some pressure regulator device.
Do any of you have experience doing so?
And what pressure is the Right for webers?
And what brand/ model of regulator would you recommend?
Would like to have a good qualaty setup.

If I remember correctly, it's one and a half pounds per square inch, which is very low. The Malpassi brand Fuel King used to be the choice years ago for regulation. If you have a low pressure gauge, it shouldn't be too difficult to test the pressure you have at the carbs.

I had a '70 Corvette a couple of years ago that did the exact same thing. Go to start it, friggin' gas all over. The carb guy told me to replace the fuel pump. Problem solved.
Or, place a regulator in line.

Demon Tweeks sell the adjustable Sytec regulator for about ?35 though Tax and exchange rates will affect you. Choose the pipe fittings to suit your car. I've had something similar for many years (the label has fallen off) and it follows my Facet Posiflow pump in the boot (trunk).

Burtons sell something similar and other firms too.
