S-4 fuel tank

Hello Loti folk ,any suggestions for the best place to get a replacement fuel tank ,Ali or Steel ,New or S/h.mine as just sprung a leak ,Loaction U/K. cheers Pete.

Andy Wiltshire, he is the business listings, I've had two tanks from him, superb quality and fitted perfectly

cheers boy's might be worth having a stab at e-bay , spoke to Andy he is very busy not sure of delivery date!

I've had a couple of foam filled tanks from Andy, they're well worth the wait.

Have a look at the Frost's website, they have POR tank sealants - probably good for a temporary repair whilst you're waiting.

I've had tank leaks repaired by brazing. Very satisfied. Worst leak was at one of the mounting studs on the tank bottom. Simply brazed it and it was fine. Unless your tank is very rusty and severely, deeply pitted, consider this repair as an option. Roger

Probably goes without saying but be very careful if you are going to attempt to weld or braze the tank - the risk of explosion is high. I have seen a tank explode while being welded and this was despite being thoroughly steam cleaned inside beforehand.
