AC glass bowl fuel pump

Hi there,
I have traced a non-starting problem of my Sprint to a faulty AC glass bowl fuel pump - easy really...glass bowl full but float chambers empty. I am sure that I have recently seen a supplier listing the original pumps in stock - to save me millions of phone calls tomorrow, does anybody know who has them please?
By the way, is there an easy way to remove/put back the bottom rear nut connecting dellorto to inlet manifold (apart from "let somebody else do it")
Kind regards
Martin B

Martin, sorry I can't answer your question but are you sure it's the pump? If you remove the line from the carbs and crank the engine (coil wire pulled) does fuel squirt out?

I had to remove my webers to get at the back bolt, Don't see an easy way of doing it.
Have you ever seen this car floating around N Ire?

Hi Greg,
Definitely the pump. I have removed the fuel line to the carbs and cranked engine -nothing.
Holywood, no, I've not seen that Sprint here. In fact, I've only ever seen two other Loti here, although a friend saw a white drophead by the side of the road a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks for the replies
Martin

Hi Martin,
Dont know about new pumps but you can get overhaul kits which as far as I can remember have all the 'active components' that should fix yours. I did mine successfully a couple of years back but I think just a few weeks ago there was a thread saying that some kits had incorrect parts. It might be worth searching for fuel pump repair or similar.
All the best

Have you recently installed an in-line fuel filter between the gas tank and the pump? I had installed one, and it proved so restrictive that it resulted in insufficient fuel flow... which I incorrectly attributed to a faulty mechanical fuel pump.
