Value of stromberg head twincam

I recently bought some elan bits which included a stromberg twincam.
I intend to have it rebuilt by Andy Waters.
Can anyone give an opinion as to the difference in value of a stromberg head engine and a weber head engine. I wonder if it might be worth converting it or obtaining a good weber head.

Mark had one in "For sale" section last year & did sell it so you can ask him how much he got.

Assuming for the sake of calculation that he got ?2300. A new Weber head will cost around ?2500 to ?3700 from QED or Burton, add the cost of Webers.

I doubt that you would be able to sell the converted engine for ?4800 to ?6000. So a conversion does not seem economic unless you already have a spare Weber head on hand.

I bought a Stromberg head last year complete with valves and cam caps for ?200. A weber head in the same condition would have been closer to ?1000.......so I would guess, using my simple brain, that there's ?800 between them!!

Perhaps I've mis-remembered, but didn't some shop advertise stromberg to weber head conversions?

Yes, can't remember who, but I've seen them and they look great.
