BTW,
On serious engines, I always have been said that springs must be removed from inner body of the weber's, then installed on each side, to make them easier to check or replace ...
These are different from trottle cable system.
Right or wrong !?!

Christian, that sounds like a good idea on a race engine as the Weber springs are so so inaccessible and hidden from view, I think this is why people add other springs because it is not obvious that the internal spring is broken and most people don't know about its existence assuming that the cable spring (hairpin spring) is too weak.

Seems like there would be a (small) market for this set-up as an alternative to the low-profile throttle linkage kits sold for ?100-120. I'll volunteer to be the west coast test platform! :D
