Question: what is the proper thread pitch and screw size? 6-32 seemed to be close, but not quite smooth enough for me. Any help appreciated. The car came with a Fuel Safe fuel cell so sender totally different. Thanks to all.
Lotus doesn't appear to have assigned a part number to the screw, so I expect it is standard.
I always chase and retap all threaded parts before reassembly, and I used a #8-32 tap on the tank.
Of course, mine is a steel tank, and your Al tank may be different.
