Mark B wrote:Bill, all,

I've had a look at the distributor fitted, it's a Lucas dissy but can't find any numbers stamped on it. If it helps I'll take a piccy of it unless there's any other distinguishing features?

There is an airbox with it aswell btw, I do have an s4 bulged bonnet for my zetec car, I don't think I need the bulge so would be willing to swap for your standard bonnet as long as it's as good a fit.

Cheers,
Mark.

Oh, I though all the Zetec converted cars were +2s I hadn't realised anyone had tackled a 2-seater.

My own bonnet has been converted to have a LOCK at the windscreen end and no Pull-release cables or spring so a straight swap might not be straight forward, but another member has a spare bulgy bonnet he can sell me.

Bigger problem is that you do not seem to have the Stromberg's balance-tube adaptor on your engine, which I've gone into more detail in a PM. They seem to be made of unobtanium.

Bill as mentioned in the pm reply, I have the balance bar assembly (wondered what it was for! :P ) so no worries there. I'll take a piccy later of the dissy....

Cheers,
Mark.

Ok Folks see if any of you know what type this dizzy is, the only number is scribed on the side, not stamped, and appears to read 103TC or the "T" may possibly be a "1" I guess....

103TC is the number that Aldon use for their Twincam distributor.

Thanks for all the info folks, but I have finally got around to taking off my Weber head that I thought was a gonner and it doesn't look as bad as I expected, So I'm going to have another go at fixing my head rather than taking up Marks offer of a Stromberg engine.

So Mark's engine is freely available to buy again. See the For Sale section.
