Inline fuel filter recommendation

I need to put an inline fuel filter in between my tank and electric fuel pump, any recommendations. I'm in the US. Thanks, Dan

Dan,
I have used the FRAM HPG-1 for many years. The only downside is that it is physically large. The FRAM and others are readily available in the US from Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies:

I use this type, it was original fitment on some VW carb models. It is cheap, can usually be obtained from most spare shops, will fit 6mm and 8mm hose and it is clear so a visual inspection shows how dirty it is.

Thanks. While I'm putting that in, I'm thinking maybe I should do something different about how the fuel line comes off the tank. The fuel line is connected directly to the tank output, which points straight up, so the line has to bend to return to a horizontal path over to the electric fuel pump. Does anyone have an angled piece connected to that output, so that the line doesn't bend like that? Thanks, Dan

Yes, brass right angled connection with olives.

Thanks. What does olives mean? How does it fit to the tank? Does it just screw on?

Maybe the terminology is different in the U.S. ..........."compression fitting"...? this link should explain how the joint is made.

Got it. Now I just have to figure out what the outlet looks like on the tank. I doubt it has an olive on it, and I don't think that its threaded. I'm suspecting that its just a straight pipe.

Dan, it will be a stright pipe and you need to join it to another pipe with the right angled fitting between, here is a link which contains a vidio showing how to join a stright pipe, yours is no different except it has a right angle between the two pipes.
