I have seen this style alternator bracket on early 70's escorts in Australia.

Out of context I know but is your alternator a lot lower than mine or is it an optical illusion?

There is an identical alternator braket just appeared on evilbay.

Its listed as a competition drop down alternator bracket for Escort Twincam and BDA. So I guess it would look lower.

Mine is a fairly large lump of cast iron with an 050 Lotus part number on it. No Ford numbers that I can remember, and nothing like that one.
