Stromberg Needles

PostPost by: steveww » Wed Apr 27, 2005 8:49 am

Due to a few mods to the twinc I am finding that the standard B1Y needles are going a bit lean at times. Does anyone have any suggestions for a needle that is a bit richer higher up?

Steve,
If you have Dave Bean's catalog, refer to page L23. They indicate B1BT needles for twin cams with mild performance cams. These needles have richer mid/top than B1Y.

Hmm I had heard rumours about B1BT needle profile. Alas for me the B1BT is of the adjustable type and the carbs on my Elan require the non-adjustable type. Looking through the needle data the B1AD is the closest match of the non-adjustable types. I will give this profile a try once the wide band lambda meter I have just ordered arrives.

Thanks for the feedback. I had sent an email to Dave Bean but they could not be bothered to reply.
