Stromberg intake runners, and secondary butterfly

Looking for anyone who has photos or description of the #1 & #3 intake runners which have the secondary butterflies.
Seems my source of 1 & 3 running rich may be from the PO removal...
From what I understand, its not the butterflies I am interested in. As they only warm up the carbs a bit quicker. Rather the length of the intake runners which incorporate the butterflies
Kind Regards
Jim

Do you have the crossover/balance tube that non-fed stromberg elans have? The carbs shouldn't be bolted to the head directly.
using google and the search phrase below will pull up a bunch of images.

No balance tube, nor the runner which houses the secondary butterflies
I sure can't find too much info, the local Ford tech who has some knowledge suggest these were removed and hence the issues.
I can't find definite information, hoping someone who has the butterflies still has some.
Kind Regards
Jim

Bit more info.

I can't help with the parts but I recommend trying to find the balance tube version, not the butterfly one. There was someone on here a while back that was making billet versions.

good one Sir snowyelan.
The Ford chap made it sound angled, not straight. I had assumed the exhaust ports were separate.
Thank you for the help, I will ask the Ford tech again for further information. I still can not understand why 1 & 3 are off, maybe I will throw a new rotor arm, condenser and cap again at the problem.
Again, his explanation was the distance to 2 & 4 were longer. Which makes 1 & 3 pull more fuel.
Kind Regards
Jim

Not sure why he would think the runner length was different. A single carb downdraft is that way but the lotus head is equal length.
Just hypothisizing but ignition bits should be fairly random in how they impact combustion in specific cylinders, plugs and maybe cap aside. Specific cylinder issues point to maybe 2 bad plugs or cap to rotor gap variances causing an occasional misfire from an electrical side.
The firing order to carb charge doesn't really pan out as one pair is lean on the first pull, and one on the second.
Maybe back to basics, compression test dry and wet? Valve clearances?

had checked valves recently, nothing too far off perfect
I will change plugs, likely back to a known cap wires rotor then
