Buy a remote thermometer , the one with the lazer beam ...focus on each runner and match the temperatures by setting the mixture and balance screws ......Ed

The round tube that RUNS from the exhaust port to the collector. There are 4 measure each one ..they should be the same temp as the gas runs through them

What's your experiences using a remote thermo? Happy? What make model? etc.

I have one but have never used it on the TC engine. Will try it later.

Thanks for the heads up.

Is "runner" Canadian for what USA people call "headers" and UK people call "Exhaust Manifold" ?

I believe the assembly of runners and collector is the exhaust manifold.

BTW, it's the relative temperature of the runners that's important here so even if the emissivity is not spot on, the relative temperatures should still be valid - assuming there's a similar amount of rust on each tube in the exhaust manifold!

That's cool (well, hot). I've never heard them referred to as runners or collectors.

But then I'd never heard of headers either until I arrived in the US.

And I thought a Fender was a guitar. And don't get me started on rocker panels. ;-)

Oiiiiiii....runners make headers ...that run into 4 into 2 into 1 collectors and that runs into the exhaust tube ........and that's attached to the rib bone....this causing me exhaustivity
