Dellorto starting circuit

My +2S 130 with dellorto DHLA's has always been a problem when cold, for the first mile or two it needs a little throttle to stop it idling especialy in cold weather, after this it is fine.
Usually this is not too much of a problem except when I have had a flat battery and have to stop and open the garage door also my wife wants to use it in the summer and this is a real problem for her.
The cold enrichment function does work but seems so rich it doesen't realy help.
I have had two thoughts of how to fix it.
1. Look at the cold start circuit, and possibly fit a smaller jet (any idea what the standard size is?)
2. Give up on the enrichment device and build a variable stop for the throttle pedal which can be controlled by the choke cable.
Has anyone else had this problem and managed to adress it?

Hi. You may find that following the set up procedure in Des Hammill's book "How to build and power tune Weber and Dellorto DCOE, DCO/SP & DHLA Carburettors" will help. If you haven't done this already it would seem that this should be the first thing to do.
Regards.
