Can I borrow an Engine Stand, please? W Sussex

PostPost by: Quart Meg Miles » Fri May 13, 2022 9:34 am

At nearly 80 and barely 9 stone, though very fit, I'm starting to struggle with engine servicing and feel the need for a wheeled engine stand once the block is out of the car. I can afford the £100 to buy one but there must be lots lying around for years not being used and this will probably be the only time I'll ever need one, then I need to store it.

So does anyone in my area [Potsmouth to Brighton or northwards UK] have one I could borrow for a few weeks? Just a 450 kg capable wheeled stand with 4 bolt fixing to hold it while I change the water pump is fine; I've got a chain hoist but the work bench is three metres from it.

Worth a few pints of beer, lager, milk, whatever. I can collect/return it.

PM me or phone 01243 551197. Many thanks
Meg

Hello Meg
I might be able to help. I'm about 10 miles north of Worthing so fall in the right area, I have a currently unemployed engine stand the has taken my own twink so I know it can be done!
It'll need a wipe over before use.
All the best

Pm sent, Baggy or ring me as above, please.

Paul, thanks for the offer, I think Baggy's will suit me better for a rebuild.

Charles, thanks for your offer but a little out of my area.

When I checked my emails yesterday morning there weren't any replies shown but I had a phone call from a member in Fareham.
