Anyone have a spare backing plate for the timing cover

PostPost by: Woodboater » Mon Jul 13, 2020 7:23 pm

I am needing a backing plate for my timing cover, also still looking for a cheap cam cover.

Thanks

Do you mean the slinger plate behind the crank pulley oil seal ? I do have one of those.

I have a spare front timing cover and the backing plate. I will not separate but if you want the buy the whole thing, $300. I am in Buffalo NY. Might take me a bit to find it but I know I have it:)

So we're thinking the plate (timing case per Lotus) that is sandwiched between the engine block & the water pump housing (timing case cover per Lotus)?

I think that is what he means. I replaced mine with a Bean Cartridge Pump so I have this other one sitting in a box somewhere. Don't know where but it is here somewhere!
