Steering column and steering wheel, rear brake rotors

PostPost by: Tmac897 » Sat Jun 06, 2020 10:50 am

How does one lose a steering column? I have no answer for that.

I'm looking for a steering column and/or steering wheel for a '67 S3 SE, if that matters.

I also need one rear brake rotor, again, for a '67. It does matter for the rear rotors. Earlier cars had a different hole pattern.

Located in Northeastern US.

I thought the PCD for the holes was only different at the Diff end.
I imagine you already know but i think the Steering Column is the same as Triumph Spitfire but i'm not sure.
The early +2 cars was Ford then they changed to Triumph Spitfire.

I have several Elan steering wheels from the original 15" Springall wood wheels with hub and horn push "mint"
I also have a signed wheel and have others that all fit the different years on Elans. I also have two Nardi wheels with hubs and horn push that fit the Elans. I'm limit on how many pics I can send.
Hope that helps,
Sarto

Sarto,
The wheels are beautiful. Where did you get them refurbished? I have a 15" signature wheel with one broken spoke. Where can I get it repaired and refurbished? I also have a 14" Springall wheel without signature.

Thanks,
Dan Wise

Hello Dan, If you google knockoffspinnertool you will find my direct contact information. I can send you many pictures so you can see the different wheels. Most came from damaged wheels I was able to purchase and restore.
The Nardi wheels is what I used on my Lotus Elan as they had a metal rim and had a thicker grip that I liked. The original Springall wood rim wheel, from what i've heard, was a danger when racing.
My wheels all have a Hub and Lotus horn pushes. Some have the yellow and green logo but most are the black and silver in mint conditions.
The owner of ClassicMotorsports Magazine traded me out for a seriously damaged Springall wood wheel if I restored one he had that needed repairs. I also restored one of his vintage race car wheels.
If anyone of them would work for you, we can talk friendship pricing.
The black wheel's rim plastic coverings was in mint condition and the wheel was signed. I did have to re-store the hub and put a mint horn logo push in. Here is what I do to the spokes and hub/horn assembly.
