You don't say where you are in the world but the interior door handle is available new from SJ Sportscars and possibly from the other Lotus suppliers in the UK

If, you have a Super Safety S3 the door handles are different and, very rare!

Alasdair is quite correct there, some of the later S3s had a different interior door handle.

The super safety type has the top part of the handle (at the pivot) hidden behind the door trim. It is a modified handle from something else, an Austin from the fifties if I remember correctly.......it has a couple of areas ground/machined away to make it fit.....I think I have the details "filed away" somewhere....let me know if this is the one and I will try to find them (the details!)..

I've had my SS since 1974 and I would like to have that information, just as a back-up.

that would be great Adam - mine is different then all the others I'v had in the shop so it's been a bit of a struggle - i've temporarily made it work ( the back side where the pin goes through broke away on the drivers side so i made up a part for now and works for now
