Fitting radiator to new Series 4 nose section,

PostPost by: Alf42 » Sun Nov 28, 2021 2:22 pm

I am part way through some work on my S4 drop head (MOT failure in 1980) and have fitted a new nose section, but have no idea where and how to fit the radiator as the old nose was not kept. Any pointers would be most welcome.

Hi Alf and welcome.

The search facility will help you. I put in 'radiator position' and got these 2 threads as a start.

The other search you could do is in the Photo Gallery.

Thanks Mike for your rapid response. it gives me a starting point to refit radiator.
At the moment the body is hanging from the roof of my garage and I can get inside the engine bay to make brackets and fit them. The plan is to drill all hole etc before painting the body.

Radiator fitted now with nice new brackets - made in stainless. Moved on to fitting headlight vacuum units and possibly thhe Girling servo - this will be taxing as the original bracket is just brown powder and remnents in the box, cardboard is not idel for long term storage of steel parts.
