Adapting S4 head for Webers?

Morning all,
Has anyone successfully adapted a cylinder head to replace Strombergs with Webers? If so, any information would be greatly appreciated.
Surely this must be a cheaper option than purchasing a brand new head?!
Many thanks
Charles

Contact John McCoy at Omnitech Engineering. I have one of his conversion heads as do others on the forum, including Rohan.

Thanks for the recommendation.
I contacted them this morning, but I was rather hoping for a UK based solution.
Regards

No one else is doing conversions on a commercial basis except for John McCoy. The alternative these days is a new head from people like QED or SAS.
cheers

Why don't you replace the Stroms with a couple of ITBs from someone like Jenvey? I swapped Stromberg head for a Weber one in the 80s but if I was doing it now I would investigate going fuel injected.

I don't care enough about keeping the car original to prevent me swapping Stroms for Webers...but I do care enough to not want to convert to fuel injection!
I now have someone who came highly recommended overhauling a used Weber head for me.

I'd be tempted by FI if I could get a nice comprehensive kit that was designed for my engine and required minimal tweaking/tuning to run correctly. I'm not one of those people who relish the prospect of home-brewing that sort of thing, especially not figuring out the ECU-programming.

Yea, me too....it's like "teaching an old dog new tricks"......I'll stay with the carbs. Plugging in my laptop to "tune" my car will have to wait until I succumb to an EV.....
