Thanks Rohan , the LAA is the original engine to my car , from what i can see on the +2 chassis /engine number list only 2 x plus 2 elans left the factory with an LAA block , chassis 3 and my 24 . Whether it was purposely chosen who knows !, it is a 120 reg number though.

With a 120 number it could have been a Lotus factory demonstrator car with a deliberate big bore engine.
