I?m in need of an ?Oilite? pilot bushing for a 4 bolt crank
ID = .59 inch
OD = 1.58 inch

I checked Dave Bean. They have only a brass - non oilite Bush or roller

Try RD Enterprises. They should have them.

Hello John

There are two sizes of first motion shaft (spigot shaft) depending on the gearbox being used. The very early close ratio gearbox had a larger diameter end to the shaft. Your 4 bolt crankshaft being in a slightly later car with the semi close ratio gearbox uses the same internal diameter bearing (.590?) as the 6 bolt crank. If you still have your old bearing but it?s just worn then it can be machined out and the roller bearing that is used in the 6 bolt crank can be pressed into place. If you don?t have your original bearing then a steel sleeve can be machined of the same OD with the roller bearing fitted.
