Ajusa - my gasket: not oberserving the rules

PostPost by: el-saturn » Fri Jun 14, 2019 8:54 pm

i think our bruno schaffner in zurich is as renown as britains richards (?) - showed him my ajusa and he immediately say the reason for my gasket failing a) quite a bit of compression (1/4 inch dome left on the forged piistons) b) flatness of entire head (whole length in the middle -500mm) 0,02mm gap as far as i remember. in any case ill get mine there tomorrow at 8am for a 0,2 mm skim and can get it back at noon for 60quid (aint that good for one of the planets most expensive resorts sandy

Even more compression! Hope your valve clearances are OK.

we'll skim 1/10 of a mil and valve/piston clearance is more than 1, so i feel safe.what bugs me,is the fact that ajusa has a 84 mm version ---- next size is 87!! cheers Sandy just removed valves, springs etcc -- cam lobes show "pitting" - do you have 2 10.8 OR 10.9 mm lift cams handy??
