Noticed a twin cam Mk1 Escort on BAT that had a forward facing cam cover. Perhaps they were designed for this application.

But TC Escorts were never fitted with the Big Valve engine (and BV cover) which is what is being discussed.

Nobody with a definite reason for reading from the front as yet then. The mysteries of Lotus will keep us thinking for ever. My best guess was it was a cock up !

Maybe Colin redesigned it with reduced weight and took the opportunity to reverse the script so they knew which was the light weight version Looking forward to it being a rare collectors item to maintain originality,
