Engine mountings

Hi all,
I've just replaced carb side engine mount with a new item and sadly it has completely failed within 8 miles!! Has anyone had a similar experience with new mounts?

I?ve just fitted a new one on that side too, but not used the car yet as it?s not a runner, whee did you get your mounting from?

its easy to put them on upside down! . then they'll fail

Yet again, why persevere with a design that is bound to fail - particularly as the new ones are not as well bonded.

...and if you feel its not "period" note that this deign came from the 105E boys (the Milton brothers) in the sixties!
