50/50 Antifreeze

PostPost by: William2 » Wed May 02, 2018 9:03 am

I have been mixing blue antifreeze in a ratio of 50/50 with de-ionised water. Is that the recommended mix for the UK is it it overkill?

Most (concentrated, not pre-diluted) antifreezes recommend 50/50 which should be more than ok for temperature but just as important is that it is of sufficient strength for its corrosion pack to work properly. Specs / instructions should be on the label or online data sheet.
