Final job to do on the restoration of my S3 SE is to refresh the paint on the green cam covers.

Does anyone have a paint code ?

BMC A series engine green, supplied in cans from Mini specialists.

Is that what is called MOWOG green ? A quick 'Google search' of BMC A Series green reveals a bewildering array of shades, which is why I could ideally do with a specific paint code.

I?ve had three or so S3 S/E?s over the past thirty-five years. They?re my favourite Type of Elan, ive seen the cars when they were just a second hand motor and I?ve looked at a few SE?s in between. I don?t think there is a definitive colour green for the cam cover, I think Lotus painted them in whatever BMC shade of green was available from their local motor factors, back in the 60s there was little in quality control. Paint it in a shade of BMC green that you like, you won?t be wrong.
