S3 Heater valve part missing

PostPost by: CG901 » Sat Aug 26, 2017 2:14 am

While installing the twin cam in my s3 coupe, I noticed the bolt that holds the temperature cable in the control unit on the head was missing.
I have checked all the parts sources but it seems being such a miscellaneous part, it is not stocked.
Can anybody tell me where to source or how to fabricate a suitable substitute? Here is a diagram of the bolt with green arrow. Thank you.

Try looking on ebay under pinch bolts as used on bike brakes

If you just need the screw it is 10-32 UNF but if you need the solderless nipple as well e-bay or a bike shop as Steve said is the way to go.

It looks as if a bicycle brake nipple would do the job.
