Twin Cam gasket source (cam chain valley)

PostPost by: bluesbrother30 » Tue Jul 11, 2017 2:15 am

Several years ago, I happened across a different gasket material for the rectangular cam chain gasket that goes just in front of the head gasket. Much different from the regular ones made of cork, this was a "gasket type material" and was about .125 thick. Don't squish out when compressed.............

Do they exist ?? Sources ??

Would it be something like a reusable Cometic gasket (nitrile based I understand) ? not on Cometic site yet but available from a variety of sources, including this one (half as thin as the one you mention though) :

Hi

I think he means the cork gasket on the chain case top, not the cam cover.
