Sump Gasket Set

Anyone know what is this white plastic washer for? As you can see it is in with the sump gasket set.

Knuckle protector. You slip it on your finger and it prevents you skinning your knuckles on the radiator et al when bolting he sump pan back. There is the much cheaper lite version of the set for when you are doing the job on the bench and the knuckle protector isn't necessary.

Thanks! The clue is in it being a SUMP gasket set?

I think you may have been at the Meths again Steve. How would a nylon ring have any grip on my marigold gloves? You have to learn to think things out further. Anyway the radiator is in the shed, no where near the sump.
