Alternator Adjustment Strap - source?

The strap on my Sprint has broken and I would like to obtain a direct replacement - can anyone guide me to a supply source, please?
(see foto of broken item)
BTW, I have bought a strap from Paul Matty but it is quite different (with a 'fork' at the engine-end) and isn't at all suitable, as the 'fork' is way too wide. Other suppliers on the net illustrate the same item, unfortunately!

When you say that they are "way too wide" you do realise that they go over a reinforcing piece as well?

Oh, never seen the reinforcing piece before but still think the 'fork' is too wide - see foto:

There's also meant to be a captive washer brazed to one of the inside surfaces of the fork bit. The fork shaped part along with the elongated strengthener is definitely the correct part.

If my memory is right. It should be mounted to the middle bolt hole not the top. (You also need to rotate 180 degrees)
I believe there were some issues with your original type damaging the timing cover hence the addition strengthening plate and modified adjuster.

It looks like the correct bracket and correct orientation to me. Her's a photo in case it helps.
- Alternator.

Thanks to all - I will take the 'fork' bracket out to the car & try the suggestions shortly!
As far as the piccie is concerned (for which big thanks), I see that the strap is on the INSIDE of the alternator bracket, whereas my broken one sat on the outside - that must be just as good and opens up a different positioning for me to try!
WRT the strengthening strip, where would this fit in?

Hum - still struggling !
I've again offered up the fork strap to the engine - it HAS to fit to the bolthole arrowed on my picture, doesn't it?
...... but if that is the correct bolthole, I still see the big gap, as per second picture !
Am I missing something !?!

Here's a picture of the OEM parts:
Here's the bracket that I made for my lightweight Alternator in the same style:

I found the above picture from the WS manual useful. this may also help you work out what you have....

More thanks, for latest info/pictures - I now begin to understand where the reinforcing strap goes (It seems to be called a 'Mounting Strap'; I don't have one but will see if Paul Matty or someone else has one, as it looks helpful !)
It rather looks that my car had the 'simple' strap used when a dynamo is fitted, whereas the one used for an alternator is of the 'fork' type, per the other picture.
(seems a bit odd that a stronger strap is used for the lighter-in-weight alternator !)

Phil, The bracket you made is perfect. Any plans to make more?
