I'm converting my Sprint to electronic ignition with fuel injection. Now the ECU needs a coolant sensor, has anyone already used such a thermostat housing adapter (to fix the coolant sensor) or knows where to get such a thing in the UK ?

Thanks, Peter

The Clivey boy stop has the temp sensor after the thermostat which is great for fan control. Not so good for engine temp sensor for a ecu, as will read cold until the point the thermostat opens. So nut much use for mixture control on the warm up.

My engine builder originally placed the sensor in rear of the block, which is I think is after the thermostat I had to move tit because of lack of clearance to the bulkhead, I'v had no adverse reaction during warm up in it's current position

There seem to be quite a few spacers of various sizes on e-bay, particularly in the USA.

If you lift the thermostat by much the casing will probably foul on the underside of the bonnet.

Bill, this is half correct as it all depends on the bonnet. Ones with the paper rope reinforcing in will need some adjustment, but ones without will fit OK in my experience.
