Big bore exhaust.

I have fitted an intermediate muffler ( from an MGB I believe) on my slightly larger than standard diameter Plus 2S 130/5 exhaust system. I have a Spyder chassis and that has a cut out under the gearbox tail which the muffler fits into nicely to avoid reducing the ground clearance significantly. The rear muffler is a single straight through one a little smaller than the original It makes a nice subtle exhaust for the road cruiser that my Plus 2 is and I don't need to avoid using full throttle in the city .

Intermediate silencer now fitted.
The noise is reduced to a more relaxed level. Still a nice sound under acceleration.
Dougal.

Hi Curly.
The following photos show a Steve Jenkins aluminum block fitted with an all aluminum T9 (Quaife aluminum case and cover) tranny, with a Voights conversion kit. The chassis is a bare steel TTR 26R with the largest bore TTR exhaust manifold available and a straight through silencer system (not shown). The pipe pieces are untrimmed at this time.
