David,
On the Fidenza site you posted, the info states Lotus Elan flywheel but shows a flywheel with 8 bolts. It also goes on to describe details about I believe, a Lotus Elise. I think this needs to be clarified with LMP before ordering. :)

Seniorchristo: My understanding is that the illustration is generic. the part number provided by LMP is the Fidanza part number for an Elan flywheel-nowhere have I seen a listing for the number of bolt holes in their flywheel but the one I have coming has twelve-at my specific request. We will know for sure in a couple of days when it arrives. In the meantime I will phone Fidanza tomorrow and ask them about the number of bolt holes in their remaining stock.

Prezoom: I understand your concern and I did read everything I could before committing to this-however, since I had NO flywheel and could not find one I liked until I saw this...
The alternative was a steel flywheel from Burtons or QED-however, they were standard weight, do not come with ring gear or dowls and the cost of shipping to western Canada was almost the cost of the flywheel. Then add tax and duty!

I am using a Dave Bean 104 tooth aluminium flywheel in one of my engines. I must admit, I've forgotten what the recommended clutch cover bolt tightening torque is (bolts/threadsare UNC not UNF) - does anyone know offhand?

Cheers
James

As it's aluminium, I could go with 15 ft/lbs, or 10-12 and Loctite.....
