Affordable Wide Band O2 Sensor

PostPost by: type26owner » Sun Feb 22, 2004 4:33 pm

The Weber Throttle Position Sensor bolted onto the front carb with no problem. The info mentions it also fits the Dellorto. :)

Still waiting for the electrical connector which fits it. I'll need to purchase a 5 volt supply converter from Radio Shack and cob together the wiring.

There is no way I'm going to be able to safely take it to the redline in fourth gear on the race track and watch the mixture readout from the O2 meter at the same time. :o

Since there are five channels of data recording on this AFM I've decided what would be most important inputs to make this product valuable as a data collection device.
1) Timing Lucas w/Pertonix- have not looked for an product which will interface there yet.
2) Torque - w/elastomer motor mounts DC LVDT or solid motor mounts Strain Gage
3) TPS
4) Rpm
5) Gear Selector Retrofit Sensor - No product available. Easy to do though.

Remembered that Item 5's function can be easily provided by buying adding a rotational speed sensor made for retrofitting onto a driveshaft. All the racing supply vendors have them.
