Does anyone know if I should have a hollow brass stud between the sender and the engine? If there is one do all the normal suppliers(uk) stock them and what should I ask for? The cars a 70 plus 2s.
Thanks

In my opinion,no,but if the sender has a smaller thread(i.e. not the right one)a previuos owner may of fitted an adapter

I have used some blocks with a large and some with a small diamete tapping for the oil pressure sender. I cant remember which blocks had which but IIRC some of the later 1500 blocks had the larger dia tapping. All the oil pressure senders Lotus used senders have the same small diameter thread and used a bush adapter when fitted to blocks with the larger diameter tapping.
