Hi
I need a replacement battery for my 69 Elan, the old one has given 10 years service but is now dead. Previously I would get one in UK but with all covid restrictions it is not so easy to get there (I live in Luxembourg). The european suppliers I have contacted only have batteries with the +terminal on the right anyone know where I can get a proper one??

You could consider using a local battery and getting a longer earth lead to reach the -ve terminal.

Should be able to find a local supplier, it’s an 037 battery I believe.

Trabants are right positive.
About the right size, maybe not enough cranking, gotta be close.

Just turn the battery around 180 degrees like me.

It makes it much easier to connect a charger too.

You may need a longer earth lead., and something to cover the terminals.

Hi guys,
Here is picture of battery in my 1969 S4 showing terminals at the closest side and I wasn’t aware it could go the other way round. If the picture is on its side, just tap it and it will correct.
