I had not heard of this. Maybe useful to some. I had five nests but no chewed electrics (knock wood).

It is funny, the auto industry using Soy based “bio-degradable” wire insulation.
Of course this attracts rodents.
Solution?
Born, and brought home from the hospital (no seat belt (wtf)) in a baby!
Find out where the limits are, and start from there

The same goes for PCB boards, the coating applied seems to be liked by mice, rats and ants!

I understood Honda had this for sometime and was similarly expensive and I made my own with “liquid electrical tape” and added a bunch of cayenne pepper and have had that perform well in terms of rodents not coming back and it’s useful in hard to reach places where re-wrapping things is not so easy. Also using stainless steel or copper wool (no rust) used for scrubbing pans and marine cleaning respectively, to plug openings where they can build nests. Gordon Sauer
