S1 cigarette lighter

Can somebody show me all of the parts and the assembly order for the cigar lighter in my64 Elan S1? I think mine is missing a internal part or two as it looks like mine will be a direct short when I hook up negative wire? It didn't work when I bought car a few years ago so would just as soon not create a small/large fire when I attach wire!?!
